Monica VanConant was born in 1987, and is a native to Colorado Springs. She graduated from Mitchell High School, where she first began her studies in photography under the instruction of Wendy Foos. In 2005 she began attending the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on a full-ride scholarship. She is currently finishing up her undergraduate degree with a major in Visual and Performing Arts with an emphasis in Photography, under the instruction of Carol Dass. With the support of many, Monica was fortunate to also have the assistance of Carol in the self-publishing of her book, promiscuity.

Monica would eventually like to work her way into fashion photography and relocate to New York or Paris, but she is open-minded for new directions as long as they involve her one true passion in life, photography.
